Don't you hate it when you arrive at your destination after a long day of driving and the only room available in your preferred hotel is a suite? Yeaah, that happened. I was ready to stay longer than just one night—though we did stay Sunday morning to watch the Conference. However, there was this little guy who kept inspiring us to continue onward.
So, on we went, passing by this children's dentist's "office" in Prescott. McDonald's might have a thing or two to learn here.
Actually, I think my trips to the dentist might be enhanced immeasurably if this were his office:

That's "Crazy Ludwig's" (Neuschwanstein) castle in Germany. (I'd go crazy in a place like that, too...)
Well, back to Earth, so to speak. There was a pretty nasty accident on the descent from the mountains. Traffic was slowed, and "rubber-necking" was probably the bigger reason for the delay.
I had almost forgotten about the fascinating "cactus kingdom" of Arizona...
Here's a better one, not taken from a speeding car...

We arrived at our next hotel just in time to watch the afternoon session of the Conference. What a refreshing experience! And it was made even better when we realized that we are located very close to the Gilbert Temple.

And then the "moment of truth": seeing our little grandbabyboy! What a joy! He was a little apprehensive at first, clinging to Daddy's finger, but soon the moment improved—listening to Grandpa's babbles. Grandpa's pretty good at that! (To some people, it just comes naturally...)
So happy to see this little boy wearing a Marimekko-ish outfit. I used to dress my little ones in stripes all the time... it was the Finn-thing to do.
Parents left the next day for a trip to Los Angeles to refresh and hopefully enjoy themselves. But we know they will miss this little guy.
I will continue by adding a few pictures of our Treasure. Happy little guy with Grandpa!
