Leaving North Carolina through the beautiful Smokey Mountains.

How would someone from Spanish Fork, UT pronounce this (based on "barn in the born")?
Comment from a friend: “I had several relatives who talked that way. Utahns of Scandinavian descent were especially prone to ‘confuse’ their a's and o's... My favorite was a very active great aunt who often would say ‘oh Lard’!”
Crossing to Tennessee:
By default, we ended up in Gatlinburg in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. How fortunate that I had forgotten to bring my favorite pillow and we had to try to find a down pillow anywhere. We chose Walmart, and that took us South to Gatlinburg.
Little did we know the nature of this unknown-to-us town. What a plethora of outdoor entertainment and endless sporty things to do in this little town: white-water rafting, fishing, bunjee jumping, camping, hiking, etc. ad infinitum. See here!
But there were things for a photographer, as well, like this gorgeous courthouse:
Then this incredible look-alike:
(My infatuation with the Finnish bell towers [kellotapulit] will follow me everywhere for the rest of my life!)
How about this... "Castle Antiques" or "Minaret Antiques"???? Just the dome missing. For sure this had been a mosque.
And what is this:
Actually, it is a part of an indoor water park in Gatlinburg. But, but, but, are people riding inside those tubes? I would for sure pass out with claustrophobia!
We drove by some remarkable structures, like this... another amusement park?

Not really, of course, but a lime/gypsum/cement plant. Scary, isn't it, to think about that as a ride in you favorite attractions park...
